This policy explains how PaperPal approaches scanned documents, OCR text, purchases, and support requests.
What PaperPal handles
PaperPal is designed for scanning paper documents, cleaning page images, recognizing text with OCR, searching your library, and exporting PDFs. The documents you scan may contain personal information, so the app is built around a minimal data approach.
Documents, scans, and OCR
The current iPhone experience can be used without creating an account. Scans, generated PDFs, and recognized OCR text are stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or use an optional cloud or analysis feature that sends data to a service.
Optional services
If account sync, cloud storage, AI analysis, purchase management, diagnostics, or support workflows are enabled, the relevant data may be processed by service providers only to provide those features, maintain the app, prevent abuse, or respond to support requests.
Purchases
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled through Apple and, where enabled, purchase infrastructure such as RevenueCat. PaperPal does not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
Your choices
You control what you scan, export, share, or delete. You can remove documents from the app, manage subscriptions through your Apple account, and contact support for privacy questions.
